Goulds JS+ series shallow well jet pumps are a simple, proven way to pull water from a shallow well, cistern or lake for a home or cottage, or to boost pressure. Each pump comes with the shallow well jet (nozzle and venturi) built into the cast iron casing, a 115/230 V motor, an AS4 pressure switch preset to 30-50 psi, and the tubing. You do not need a separate shallow well adapter. Pick the horsepower that matches your old pump label: J5S (1/2 HP), J7S (3/4 HP), J10S (1 HP) or J15S (1-1/2 HP). All use 1-1/4" NPT suction and 1" NPT discharge. The back pull-out design lets you service the pump without disturbing the piping, and the diaphragm keeps water around the mechanical seal so it never runs dry. When a pump loses pressure or starts leaking, a Goulds JS+ rebuild kit (seal ring, mechanical seal, diaphragm, impeller and diffuser) usually brings it back for much less than a new pump. Shallow or deep well? The J5S, J7S, J10S and J15S are shallow well pumps. The J5, J7 and J10 convertible models can be set up for deep or shallow wells.
